Using a long lens I isolated a subset of pilings and worked to catch the reflection in Gastineau Channel

and have also noticed changes to my style during this time as well

My plan was to find a good location with a view of the mountains and then see what the approach pattern was for the evening

Noticing that the wind was blowing out of the south I found myself south of airport to photograph takeoffs

The waterfall itself is 200 feet and with the shape of the rocks it is possible to walk behind the waterfall

Lee Metcalf NWR Size:20"x30" Using a long lens IIt was an early June morning as I made my way to Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge just south of Missoula. As the early light made its way through the light fog in the valley I found an interesting shoreline to capture the soft light as well as the reflection on the quiet ponds.
