The little colonial woman is holding a pineapple, which is a symbol of hospitality. Inside the chart is a portion of a poem by E. E. Cummings that inspired the design: "Little tree, little silent Christmas tree I will comfort you because you smell so sweetly" My original idea was for this to be a sweet gift for a friend visiting for the holidays or attached to a
